【Toshogu Shrine】
Toshogu Shrine is the final resting place of Tokugawa Ieyasu. It was built in 1617 and was renovated 20 years after Tokugawa Ieyasu』s enshrinement. In 1999 December, the whole shrine complex was registered as a World Heritage site (UNESCO).
【Rinnoji Temple】
Rinnoji is Nikko's most important temple. It was founded by Shodo Shonin, the Buddhist monk who introduced Buddhism to Nikko in the 8th century. One significant feature about Rinnoji is that there』s no clear boundary of where the temple ends, it is all over Mount Nikko.
【Ryuzu Waterfall】
Ryuzu Waterfall means "dragon head waterfall" in Japanese. The name comes from the shape of the falls, which resembles the head of a dragon. Ryuzu Waterfall is flanked by many trees which turn yellow and red during the autumn leaf season, adding to the fall's fiery, dragon-like appearance.

Kegon Waterfall is the only exit for the waters of Lake Chuzenji. It is also a very popular hotspot for autumn sightseeing. However, what』s even more impressive is during winter time with its waterfall frozen almost completely solid!

Lake Chuzenji is a scenic lake in the mountains above the town of Nikko. It is located at the foot of Mount Nantai, Nikko's sacred volcano. Lake Chuzenji has been listed as one of Japan』s top 100 scenery.
【Irohazaka Winding Road】
This famous road connects Lake Chuzenji with the town of Nikko down in the valley. It ascends more than 400 meters and is named "Iroha Slope" because together they consist of 48 turns which equal to the number of characters in the Japanese syllabary.
*Please NOTE: the road is closed between late November – mid April.
